What steepl is
A simple, well-kept website for your ward: this week's bulletin, the calendar, leader contacts, and reminders.
steepl is a small website a ward keeps for itself: this week's sacrament meeting program, the calendar, who to contact, and opt-in reminders for the events members care about. A QR code at the chapel door opens the bulletin with no sign-in.
Ward leaders and a couple of designated editors keep it current. Members can sign in to see leader contact details and to choose their reminders. Stake leaders can see every ward in their stake. Nothing here replaces the Church's own tools: the calendar mirrors the Church Calendar, and official records stay in Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR).
Not an official site
This site is not an official website of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is maintained by its members to assist with their callings and is not sponsored or endorsed by the Church. For official information visit ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
Each ward site is created only after the bishop approves it, is named after the ward (never after the Church), carries this disclaimer on every page, lists a contact, has at least two administrators, and is moderated by the ward's editors.
Privacy, in short
- steepl stores only what leaders type about themselves and their callings, what members enter when they opt in to reminders, and bulletin and event content.
- No membership lists, records, or exports from Church systems are stored here — ever.
- A leader's phone or email is shown only with that leader's consent, and only to signed-in ward members.
- Your reminder phone number and email are used only for the reminders you chose. You can unsubscribe from any message, and delete your data from My account.
- Sign-in uses Google or an email and password; steepl never sees your Google password. Usage analytics, when enabled, are anonymous.
